Hollowing and cutting techniques

From different tools we will take time to understand why the tool cuts (or does not cut). The focus will be on using the slicing angle (why the skew gives such a good result, and how to achieve this same result with other tools). Time will be spent for sharpening to achieve a good surface. The course is based on practical exercises, spindle turning, end grain and side grain, without forgetting the close forms with small openings. Objects made: spatula, bowl, raindrop box with ring, frame, flour spoon, maracas...
